After Dennis and Kathy read the scripture passages from Genesis 9:3-17 and Mark 1:9-15, Rachel shared a story of the ark, reminding us that many of us have been isolating from others for well more than 40 days due to the pandemic. This year has felt like a year of living in the ark.
But there is a also connection between Lent and the animals on the ark. Rachel drew from the work of Gayle Boss, who provided stories of endangered animals in Wild Hope: Stories for Lent from the Vanishing.
This Lent, may we find our place in the family of things on earth, and find it to be a safe resting.
