Over the years a number of songs have become particularly special to the RMC community. These are sometimes referred to as our “heart songs” since they can touch us deeply.
This morning, Sunday, June 29, 2025, we sang one of those songs for our closing benediction. Rain Down, written in 1991 by Jaime Cortez, is included in the newest Mennonite hymnal, Voices Together. Take a listen:

The Servant Song has been sung dozens of times at Raleigh Mennonite since its founding in 1986. At RMC it is often accompanied by a dance depicting the lyrics. The song was written by Richard Gillard in 1976. This slower rendition of it was sung and danced to at the wedding ceremony of Christina and Andrew, June 15, 2025:
